60 MINUTES IS #4; NOTCHES ITS BEST RANK OF THE SEASON AND MAKES THE TOP 10 FOR THE FIFTH STRAIGHT WEEK

            60 MINUTES finished the week at #4 on Nielsen’s Top 10 list, notching its best weekly ranking in viewers of the season and making the list for the fifth straight time.

            The program won its time period in viewers, drawing an audience of 14.74 million and also in households, posting a 9.4/14, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Dec. 11.   In the households category, 60 MINUTES ranked #3.

            Sunday’s 60 MINUTES, America’s most-watched news program, featured Steve Kroft’s interview with President Obama and Lesley Stahl’s report on Howard Buffett, the son of America’s second-richest man, Warren Buffett.

            During 60 MINUTES’ East Coast broadcast, the program’s hashtag #60Minutes was the #1 worldwide trending topic on Twitter.  Online, viewing of 60MINUTES content grew on 60 Minutes.com and 60MinutesOvertime.com, accounting for five of the top 10 videos on CBSNews.com.over the Sunday-Monday period.   

            It was the eighth time over 12 broadcasts that 60 MINUTES made the top 10 list this season.
