CHRISTMAS EVE WITH FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY, a concert special, will be broadcast Sunday, Dec. 24 (11:35 PM-12:35 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This hour-long Christmas special is meant to be a window into the life and spirit of the university’s community, featuring musical performances from the University Glee Club, Professor of Music Brian Q. Torff and New Duke, the alumni band The Lionfish, and personal reflections on the season from a variety of Fairfield University students, Jesuits and others.

“Our hope with this broadcast is that Fairfield will illuminate this holiday season for views all over the nation. From our campus tree lighting and holiday concerts, to our student celebrations and volunteer work, people around the country will see the true spirit of Christmas happening here in Stag country,” said Jennifer Anderson, Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

Fairfield University is a modern Jesuit university located on a 200-acre campus on the Connecticut coast. In the spirit of rigorous and sympathetic inquiry into all dimensions of human experience, Fairfield welcomes over 5,000 students from diverse backgrounds from 36 states and 47 foreign countries to share ideas and engage in open conversations.

The concert is produced and co-sponsored by Fairfield University, with Elizabeth Kineke and John P. Blessington as the executive producers for CBS.
