CBS NEWS AND EURASIA GROUP’S GZERO MEDIA FORM STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIP TO ENHANCE COVERAGE OF GLOBAL POLITICAL REPORTING

Eurasia Group Founder Ian Bremmer and Others from the Signal Newsletter Will Be Contributors on CBS News Platforms

CBS News and GZERO Media, a subsidiary of Eurasia Group, have formed a strategic partnership for comprehensive coverage of international affairs and global finance, it was announced today by David Rhodes, president of CBS News.

The relationship brings together CBS News journalism and Eurasia Group analysis—for the benefit of both CBS News viewers and Eurasia Group’s GZERO Media audience around the world. Together, the two will provide insightful, accurate analysis from the world’s most respected observers of global affairs.

Ian Bremmer and his team have an extraordinary profile on international affairs,” Rhodes said. “We are excited to bring their expertise and analysis to CBS News viewers everywhere.”

We need more light, less heat in our understanding of an increasingly uncertain and dangerous global environment,” Bremmer said. “Together, I hope CBS News and GZERO Media can make a useful contribution.”

Bremmer, who founded Eurasia Group in 1998 with a team of experts from the multimedia newsletter Signal, will contribute to all CBS News broadcasts and platforms. Additionally, the team will produce a regular segment for CBSN, CBS News’ 24/7 digital streaming news network, which could be used on broadcast television. Those segments will also be shared on GZERO Media’s platforms.

Signal launched in 2016 and has rapidly become the must-read newsletter for a young, educated audience in 40 countries looking for impartial coverage and substantive discussions of global issues. Since 2017, Signal has been published by GZERO Media, a digital-first media subsidiary of Eurasia Group.
