CBS NEWS RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK OF SEPT. 20

  • 60 MINUTES ranked among the top-10 most-watched primetime broadcasts for the week and was Sunday’s #1 non-sports program with viewers.

  • CBS SUNDAY MORNING marked its 584th consecutive week as America’s #1 Sunday morning news program with viewers. (Press Release)

  • FACE THE NATION with MARGARET BRENNAN was the #1 show in total viewers on Sunday, Sept. 26. FACE THE NATION delivered 2.6 million viewers, and in adults 25-54, the demographic most important to those who advertise in news, FACE THE NATION delivered 473,000 viewers. (Press Release)

  • 48 HOURS is Saturday’s #1 non-sports primetime broadcast with viewers and adults 25-54 and delivers its largest audience since May 2020. (Press Release)

  • CBS SATURDAY MORNING delivered its strongest numbers since July across viewers and in the adults 25-54 demographic. CBS SATURDAY MORNING delivered 2.05 million viewers with 407,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demo. CBS SATURDAY MORNING is the fastest-growing Saturday morning broadcast news program vs. the same week last year in viewers and is the only program growing its adults 25-54 demo.

  • The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL delivered 4.8 million viewers with 841,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demo. Week one of the season, CBS EVENING NEWS continues to close the gap on the demo with NBC by 24% from last year and 10% among viewers. Versus ABC, the CBS EVENING NEWS is closing the demo gap by 3% and by 4% on viewers this season.

  • CBS MORNINGS last week delivered the narrowest gap with ABC on the adults 25-54 demographic in four weeks (-280k). From the prior week, CBS MORNINGS narrowed the gap with ABC by 10% on the adults 25-54 demo and 31% among men. CBS MORNINGS delivered 2.4 million viewers with 498,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demo and 275,000 among women 25-54.
