CBS NEWS RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK OF OCT. 25

  • 60 MINUTES was Sunday’s #1 non-sports primetime program with viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 31. (Watch 60 MINUTES)

  • CBS MORNINGS delivered its largest audience in eight weeks, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 29. The broadcast posted 2.6 million viewers, 524,000 of them in the adult 25-54 demo, and 312,000 among women 25-54. CBS MORNINGS was up +1% in viewers compared to the previous week. For the seven-week period since launch (Sept. 7) CBS MORNINGS is up +3% on viewers and demo. Compared to last season, CBS MORNINGS has cut the viewer gap with ABC by 4%. In the demo, CBS MORNINGS has cut into NBC’s lead by 5% and ABC’s by 16%.  CBS MORNINGS is delivering the tightest gaps in adults and women 25-54 for the season with NBC and ABC ever (since at least 1991).   • CBS SUNDAY MORNING, anchored by Jane Pauley, marked its 588th consecutive week as America’s #1 Sunday morning news program, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 31. The broadcast delivered 5.2 million viewers with 871,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demographic. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted its largest audience since April 18, 2021.   • FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show on Oct. 31, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION scored the top spot in adults 25-54 (546,000) and viewers (2.8 million). Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show in viewers and is leading NBC for the first time in seven years in adults 25-54. Additionally, FACE THE NATION is posting its largest lead over NBC since 2014 in total viewers (+344k), adults 25-54 (+2k) and women 25-54 (+13k). (Press Release) (Watch FACE THE NATION)

  • The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL posted week-to-week total viewer gains (+7%), its best weekly average in 32 weeks and the largest week-to-week increase in viewers among the network evening news broadcasts. This season, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL is delivering the tightest demo gap with NBC in 15 years (since 2006) and with ABC since 2018. For the week ending Oct. 29, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL delivered 5.23 million viewers and 862,000 in adults 25-54. (Watch the CBS EVENING NEWS)

  • 48 HOURS was Saturday’s #1 non-sports primetime program with viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 30. The broadcast delivered 2.57 million viewers (up +170,000 viewers from the previous week) with 602,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demographic (up +17% from the previous week). (Watch 48 HOURS)

  • CBS SATURDAY MORNING continues to close the gap with the competition for the season in viewers and adults 25-54. Through six weeks of the season, CBS SATURDAY MORNING is up +1% among viewers, while ABC is down -8%. For the season, CBS SATURDAY MORNING has cut the viewer gap with ABC by 26% and NBC by 4%. CBS SATURDAY MORNING has cut the gap with adults 25-54 with ABC by 15%. For the week, CBS SATURDAY MORNING delivered 1.958 million viewers with 369,000 of them in the adult 25-54 demo.
