“CBS THIS MORNING” POSTS THE NETWORK’S BEST NOVEMBER SWEEP DELIVERY IN THE TIME PERIOD IN 22 YEARS AND IS THE ONLY MORNING NEWS BROADCAST TO ADD VIEWERS

 

CBS THIS MORNING

CBS THIS MORNING posted the Network’s best November sweep delivery in the time period in viewers in 22 years for the November 2015 sweep, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. CBS THIS MORNING was the only network morning news broadcast to add viewers (+4%, 3.53m from 3.40m) compared to the November 2014 sweep. 

CBS THIS MORNING is also in its closest competitive position with NBC in a November sweep in 22 years and with ABC in 17 years. CBS closed the viewership gap with ABC by 830,000 viewers and NBC by 400,000 viewers.

For the week ending Nov. 27, CBS THIS MORNING was the only network morning news broadcast to grow year-to-year in viewers (+4%, 3.50m from 3.36m) compared to a year ago. CBS THIS MORNING gained +140,000 viewers compared to the same week last year. CBS closed the viewership gap with ABC by 810,000 viewers and NBC by 360,000 viewers.

Editor’s Note: Ratings for the week ending Nov. 27 and the year-ago comparison represent a three-day average due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Season-to-date, CBS THIS MORNING is the only network morning news broadcast to add viewers (+7%, 3.44m from 3.21m) and maintain its rating in adults 25-54 (0.8/07) – the demographic most important to those who advertise in news – compared to last year.

 

CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY

Season-to-date, CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY is up +7% in households (1.6/06 from 1.5/05), +6% in viewers (2.19m from 2.07m) and even in adults 25-54 (0.5/04) compared to last season.
