CBS NEWS RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 4

60 MINUTES

  • Was the week’s #1 primetime broadcast in viewers, adults 18+ and adults 25-54.

  • Has been a top five broadcast 14 times in 23 airings this season.

  • Delivered 9.27 million viewers, with 1.67 million of them in the adults 25-54 demographic.

  • Added +200,000 viewers (from 9.07m) from the last regularly scheduled broadcast.

  • Best audience delivery since Jan. 16.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING

  • Marked its 610th consecutive week as America’s #1 Sunday morning news program on April 10, delivering 4.7 million viewers with 782,000 in the adults 25-54 demo. (Watch CBS SUNDAY MORNING).

  • Continues to rank #1 among viewers season-to-date as well as all key demo breaks.

  • Holds 50% of the three-network morning audience season-to-date.

FACE THE NATION with MARGARET BRENNAN

  • Was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show in viewers on April 10, delivering 2.8 million viewers, with 495,000 of them in adults 25-54 and 257,000 in women 25-54 (Press Release) (Watch FACE THE NATION)

  • Is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show in viewers for the second consecutive year season-to-date (leading NBC by +375,000 viewers) and is leading NBC for the first time in seven years in the women 25-54 demographic.

CBS MORNINGS

  • Delivered 2.5 million viewers, 530,000 in adults 25-54 and 328,000 in women 25-54, for the week ending April 8. (Watch CBS MORNINGS)

  • Gained slightly in audience share in the adults 25-54 demographic, while NBC fell.

  • Is even in women in the 31 weeks since launch, compared to the previous 31-week period, which is better than the competition; NBC is down -5% and ABC is down -7% in women.

  • Has cut into NBC and ABC’s leads in the adults 25-54 demo by 12% and 8%, respectively, compared to last season.

  • Is delivering the tightest gaps for a season in adults 25-54 with ABC and NBC ever (since at least 1991), trailing NBC by -344,000 and ABC by only -272,000.

CBS EVENING NEWS with NORAH O’DONNELL

  • Delivered 4.8 million viewers and 787,000 adults 25-54 the week ending April 8. (Watch the CBS EVENING NEWS)

  • Delivering the tightest demo gap with NBC this season in 27 years (since 1994-1995) and with ABC since 2018-2019.

  • Is closing the demo gap with NBC by 12% and ABC by 13%, compared to last year.

  • Has closed the gap in viewers by 1% against NBC and 9% with ABC.

48 HOURS

  • Delivered 3.08 million viewers on April 9, with 568,000 of them adults 25-54. (Watch 48 HOURS)

  • Added +740,000 viewers (from 2.34m,+31%) and was up +25% in adults 25-54 from the previous week.

CBS SATURDAY MORNING

  • Delivered 1.8 million viewers on April 9, with 340,000 of them adults 25-54. (Watch CBS SATURDAY MORNING)

  • Was the only Saturday morning news program to post week-to-week audience increases.

  • Has closed the gap with ABC in total viewers by 14% and by 10% with NBC this season.

  • Has closed the gap in the adults 25-54 demo with ABC by 17% and by 13% with NBC.

  • Is delivering the tightest gaps season-to-date in the demo with NBC and ABC ever (since 1997-1998).

  • Is delivering its tightest gap ever among viewers with both NBC (since 1997-1998) and ABC (since 2006-2007).
