CBS NEWS RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK OF MAY 9

60 MINUTES

  • Was the #1 primetime broadcast for the week, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, May 15. (Press Release) (Watch 60 MINUTES)

  • Was #1 in viewers (7.44m) and adults 18+ (7.37m) and delivered 925,000 adults 25-54.

  • Has been television’s #1 primetime broadcast in viewers seven times this season.

  • This is the 18th time this season the show has made the top five in viewers and the 26th time it has made the top 10 program out of 27 airings.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING

  • Marked its 614th consecutive week as America’s #1 Sunday morning news program, on Sunday, May 15 (regular titles only). (Watch CBS SUNDAY MORNING).

  • The broadcast delivered 4.8 million viewers, with 718,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demographic.

  • Holds 50% of the three-network morning audience, season-to-date.

FACE THE NATION with MARGARET BRENNAN

  • Has ranked #1 in 32 of 34 weeks this season and for the last 11 consecutive weeks.

  • Delivered 2.7 million viewers with 460,000 in adults 25-54, and was #1 in viewers and #2 in adults 25-54.

  • Is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show season-to-date in viewers for the second consecutive year (leading NBC by +379,000 viewers) and is leading NBC for the first time in seven years in the women 25-54 demographic.

CBS MORNINGS

  • Had its best adults 25-54 number in six weeks, growing +1% from the prior week and driven by its best number among men in six weeks

  • Delivered 2.4 million viewers, with 553,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demo and 341,000 among women 25-54, for the week ending Friday, May 13. (Watch CBS MORNINGS)

  • Has cut into NBC and ABC’s leads in the adults 25-54 demo by 14% and 8%, respectively, for the season, vs. last year.

  • Is delivering the tightest gaps in adults and women 25-54 for a season ever (since at least 1991) vs. NBC and ABC.

CBS EVENING NEWS with NORAH O’DONNELL

  • Delivered 4.5 million viewers, with 727,000 adults 25-54, for the week ending Friday, May 13. (Watch the CBS EVENING NEWS)

  • Is delivering the tightest adults 25-54 demo gap with NBC this season in 27 years (since 1994-1995) and with ABC since 2018-2019.

  • Is closing the adults 25-54 demo gap with NBC by 13% and ABC by 12%, compared to last year.

  • Has closed the gap in viewers with ABC by 7%.

CBS SATURDAY MORNING

  • Delivered 1.6 million total viewers, with 319,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demo, on Saturday, May 14. (Watch CBS SATURDAY MORNING)

  • Has closed the viewer gap this season with ABC by 11% and with NBC by 13%.

  • Has closed the gap in the adults 25-54 demo with ABC by 11% and with NBC by 15%.

  • Is delivering the tightest gaps in the demo this season with NBC and ABC ever, dating to the “Early Show” days in 1997-1998.

  • Is delivering its tightest gap among total viewers with NBC ever (since 1997-1998) and with ABC since 2006-2007.
