CBS News delivered the most-watched coverage among the broadcast networks in total viewers on Tuesday, Jan. 21 (12:30 PM-3:00 PM, ET), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. CBS News’ team coverage of the Senate impeachment trial was led by CBS EVENING NEWS anchor and managing editor Norah O’Donnell from Washington, D.C.
CBS News’ coverage attracted 1.9 million total viewers, beating ABC (1.6m) and NBC (1.2m).
Joining O’Donnell for the coverage on Tuesday were CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett and CBS News legal analysts Jonathan Turley and Kim Wehle. CBS News correspondent Chip Reid reported the latest from Capitol Hill, and Ben Tracy was at the White House.
