“CBS THIS MORNING” DELIVERS ITS SECOND LARGEST AUDIENCE OF THE SEASON AND ADDS VIEWERS IN ALL KEY DEMOS
FOR THE FIRST NINE WEEKS OF THE SEASON CTM CONTINUES TO CUT THE GAP WITH THE COMPETITION
CBS THIS MORNING delivered 2.83 million total viewers, the second best total viewer number for the season, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 22.
The program added viewers in each of the key demos growing +9k on total viewers, +2% on adults 25-54, and +4% on women 25-54.
For the week, the broadcast delivered 615k adults 25-54, and 357k women 25-54.
Year-over-year CTM increased its share two points while “Good Morning America” lost nearly two points.
For the first nine weeks of the season, CBS THIS MORNING has cut into “Today” and
“Good Morning America’s” leads across key demos:
CTM cut the total viewer gap with “Today” by 30% and “GMA” by 24%
On the demo, CTM has cut into “Today’s” lead by 11% and “GMA’s” by 18%
Among women 25-54, CTM cut the gap with “Today” by 22% and with “GMA” by 30%

The broadcast has earned a prestigious Peabody Award, a Polk Award, five News & Documentary Emmys, three Daytime Emmys and the 2017 Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast. The broadcast was also honored with an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Award as part of CBS News division-wide coverage of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
