60 MINUTES drew its largest audience in nearly a year (since Dec. 16, 2018), landing at #3 on Nielsen’s top 10 list. The CBS newsmagazine attracted 13.2 million viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Nov. 17 – enough to also take the week’s most-viewed non-sports program title.
The broadcast also made the top 10 in the key demos, tied for #6 in both measurements, delivering a 2.8/09 in adults 25-54 and 2.0/08 in adults 18-49.
It was the sixth time in eight weeks that 60 MINUTES made the Nielsen top 10.
Sunday’s 60 MINUTES featured Scott Pelley’s report on controversial red flag gun laws, a story about the bonanza of metals essential for high tech found on the ocean floor from Bill Whitaker, and a Lesley Stahl report on how Sesame Street partnered with the International Rescue Committee to help refugees in the Middle East.
