Jon Rothstein has been a college basketball insider for CBS Sports since 2010 and a contributor to the CBS Television Network since 2016. He regularly appears on INSIDE COLLEGE BASKETBALL, CBS Sports Network’s pre-game and post-game studio highlight show and also serves as a sideline reporter. He joined CBS and Turner Sports' coverage of the NCAA Tournament in 2021 as an insider within the controlled environment throughout the Tournament in Indianapolis.
Rothstein also serves as the host of CBS Sports' "Food and Basketball" series, where sits down with some of the top names in college basketball over their favorite cuisine. He has also been a regular contributor to CBS Sports' Men of March and One2One series.
In addition to his role with CBS Sports, Rothstein has served as a national columnist for both CBSSports.com and FanRag Sports. His work has been featured in both the New York Times and Sports Illustrated. He currently authors a daily column titled "The Breakfast Buffet" at www.collegehoopstoday.com, serving as a primer for each day during the college basketball season.
Rothstein also hosts the “College Hoops Today Podcast”, the only college basketball podcast that runs 52 weeks out of the calendar year. He is also an in-studio correspondent for both WFAN and CBS Sports Radio. Rothstein has also served as the host of STUFFED with Jon Rothstein.
Prior to joining CBS Sports, Rothstein worked for both ESPN Radio and MSG Network, where he served as a college basketball insider from 2007-10. He also makes regular national speaking appearances where he discusses leadership, life skills, and the state of college basketball.
Rothstein launched his own merchandise line in 2019, with a part of the proceeds going to Mission Continues, a charity which supports veterans when they return home from battle.
A graduate of Ithaca College where he was recognized as a distinguished alumni in sports, Rothstein currently resides in Manhattan.
