One-Hour Special Looking Back at 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup to Air on CBS Sports Network on Tuesday, April 6

CBS Sports HQ to Present Highlights, Analysis and Pre- and Post-Match Coverage Throughout 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup

CBS Sports will feature cross-platform coverage of the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup presented by Secret Deodorant across the CBS Television Network, CBS Sports Network, Paramount+ and CBS Sports Digital. The 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup will kick off on Friday, April 9 (8:30 PM, ET) on CBS Sports Network as the Houston Dash face the Chicago Red Stars in a rematch of the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup final.

The 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup will consist of 21 matches, with the final airing on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+ on Saturday, May 8 (1:00 PM, ET). In total, four matches will air on CBS Sports Network. Every other match will stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S.

This season, the NWSL has added two new clubs in Kansas City and Racing Louisville FC. Kansas City will play their inaugural match against Portland Thorns FC on Friday, April 9 (10:30 PM, ET) on Paramount+. On Tuesday, April 6 (7:00 PM, ET), CBS Sports Network will air a one-hour special titled NWSL Challenge Cup 2020: The Original Bubble. Through exclusive footage and interviews, the special explores the inaugural Challenge Cup as the NWSL became the first U.S. team sport to return to action amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
