CBS Sports HQ, the free 24/7 streaming sports news network, is now available on the Amazon news app on Fire TV, Fire Tablet, and Alexa devices.

Amazon news app users can now access all of CBS Sports HQ’s live, anchored news coverage, including pre- and post-match coverage, highlights and analysis for every UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League matchday and every 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup match. To open the Amazon news app, simply say “Alexa, play the ‘news’”.

As we continue to build on a period of strong growth, we’re very pleased to expand the distribution of CBS Sports HQ to Amazon’s news app across multiple devices, making our round-the-clock sports news even more widely accessible,” said Jeffrey Gerttula, Executive Vice President and General Manager, CBS Sports Digital.

CBS Sports HQ continues to deliver strong and sustained viewership growth, with triple-digit year-over-year growth in minutes streamed in Q1 2021. CBS Sports HQ set a single-day record with 3.5 million unique viewers for Super Bowl LV, nearly tripling its prior record of 1.2 million viewers for Super Bowl LIII.

Amazon’s news app is a free and customizable news aggregator that is supported with advertising. The app comes built into the Fire TV experience on all Fire TV streaming media players and smart TVs in the US. When you open the app for the first time, you can select the news that matters most to you from national and local sources.
