“CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR” PRESENTS THREE MASTERS SPECIALS ON MASTERS WEEKEND APRIL 13-14

CBS Sports broadcasts three CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR golf specials on Masters weekend with THE MASTERS: GREAT TRADITIONS (1:30-2:00 PM, ET) and THE MASTERS: JACK! (2:00-3:00 PM, ET) to be broadcast before the Masters third-round action on Saturday, April 13.

On Sunday, April 14, CBS presents its third special, THE MASTERS: THE MAGNIFICENT 12TH (12:30-1:00 PM, ET), on the CBS Television Network.

CBS Sports’ Bill Macatee, who is part of the Network’s Masters broadcast team for the 29th year, serves as Executive Producer, as well as host for the three specials.

THE MASTERS: GREAT TRADITIONS looks at the traditions that make the Masters such a special and anticipated event. From the arrival down Magnolia Lane to the tournament itself through to the Green Jacket presentation, this CBS Sports special explores the annual Masters traditions that have come to help define the tournament, co-founded by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts.

THE MASTERS: JACK! tells the story of Jack Nicklaus and his remarkable career at the Masters. From his first Masters Tournament as a 19-year-old amateur in 1959 to his six Green Jackets, Nicklaus would rewrite the record books at the event he cherished and one co-founded by his boyhood hero, Bobby Jones. Nicklaus takes us through his personal journey into golfing history on the fairways and greens of the Augusta National Golf Club.

THE MASTERS: THE MAGNIFICENT12th provides an in-depth look at the most famous Par 3 in golf.  Macatee highlights the history, as well as the players and the shots that have made “Golden Bell” one of the most pivotal holes in golf.   Hear from the players themselves as they reveal their strategies and re-live those memorable moments that ultimately would decide the winner of the coveted Green Jacket.

The three Masters special are produced by Halo X Media. CBS Sports’ Bryan Kosowski is coordinating producer for the respective shows.
