Amanda Balionis

Amanda Balionis joined CBS Sports in 2017 as a reporter for the Network’s golf coverage, working select tournaments, and fulltime in 2018.  She also serves as a sideline reporter for select NFL ON CBS games and CBS Sports Network college football games.


In addition to her work with CBS Sports, Balionis serves as in-house reporter for Callaway Golf. She also is a contributor to Turner Sports’ digital and on-air golf team, covering the PGA Championship, as well as the Ryder Cup.


Balionis began her career as a sideline reporter for Verizon Fios Channel 1 covering high school sports. From 2009 to 2011, she served as a reporter for high school sports at MSG Network, including providing color commentary for the network’s coverage of high school volleyball. Balionis joined the PGA TOUR as in-house reporter and host in 2011, producing and reporting tournament highlights and events.


Active in her community, Balionis founded and currently runs Puppies & Golf, a 501c3 committed to helping no-kill shelters across the country, raising awareness for adoption and providing families in need  help with financial help for unexpected medical costs for their dogs. Puppies and Golf also supports K9s for Warriors which provides service dogs to Military Veterans battling PTSD post 9/11. Balionis is also a certified yoga instructor.


Balionis is a graduate of Hofstra University with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., Balionis currently resides in San Diego, Calif.
