PHIL SIMMS
(On Pittsburgh-Dallas): This game is intriguing. It is two interesting teams that are both 7-6 for a reason. I look at the Dallas Cowboys and I think about how Tony Romo takes a lot of criticism. When they lose, it’s always his fault. But he’s not getting enough credit this year for the games he’s pulled out for that football team. He has made plays under really adverse situations. The rally he had against the Cincinnati Bengals was truly one of the best I’ve ever seen him have. Under tough circumstances, he somehow got it done.
The Steelers’ defense has been playing great. They have playmakers now. There are a few injuries with the defensive backs, so we’ll see how that affects them. On the offense, Ben Roethlisberger’s second week back after a three-week layoff should really help him. I disagree with everybody when they were talking about him last week after the San Diego game by saying maybe he wasn’t ready to come back. San Diego had a really good defense. So overall, I thought Ben Roethlisberger played very well.
