“THE DOCTORS” FORMAT OPENS A PRACTICE IN MEXICO

“Los Doctores” to Premiere in September on Televisa

Los Angeles, Calif. – Sept. 6, 2012 – CBS Studios International today announced that Spanish-language media company Televisa has licensed the format rights for a local Mexican version of the award-winning medical infotainment program “The Doctors.” Production on 60 episodes of the one-hour daily “Los Doctores” began in Mexico City on August 2, 2012.  The series is scheduled to premiere on Televisa in Mexico on Sept. 10, 2012.

Acclaimed female telenovela producer Carla Estrada serves as Executive Producer of “Los Doctores.”  The series will feature six Spanish-speaking medical professionals and will address medical topics and valuable health information specific to the Mexican audience.

“Los Doctores” is the eighth international versions of “The Doctors” currently in production.  The format has also been licensed by Radio Canada in French-Canada, MTV Lebanon, Studiovision Productions for Dubai Tv in the Middle East, Flare Media for Ned 1 in the Netherlands, SIC TV in Portugal, 1 + 1 Studios in Ukraine and Kiet Tuong for HVT7 in Vietnam.
