Episode 1: “The Last Real Journalist Working in Denver”

Series Premiere. Frustrated and stuck at an unfulfilling job, disgraced journalist Beth Burgess (Kate Beckinsale) finds possible redemption in the story of a lifetime when Toni Plimpton (Jules Latimer), an incarcerated mother convicted of murdering her husband Wallace, reaches out to her to help prove her innocence.

 

Episode 2: “Crazy Bitches Who Kill”

After realizing that Toni is courting other journalists, Beth tracks down Toni’s unsavory brother-in-law, Wyatt (Andre Hyland), and his hotheaded business partner, George (Laurie Davidson), to begin her investigation into the events that led to Wallace’s murder.

Having landed Toni’s story, Beth immediately runs into obstacles when given an expedited deadline from her editor and while investigating Wyatt’s alibi at an unusual tanning salon.

 

Episode 4: “Let's Make This Man Hurt”

After getting a new lead from Toni and with an assist from George, Beth and Fiona attend a unique wedding in hopes of finding the notorious gun-trafficker, Tuna.

 

Episode 5: “Stop Being a Coward and Take the Meat”

Beth and Toni’s bond grows despite some setbacks in Beth’s investigation. Meanwhile, Fiona gets the credit for busting the illegal gun ring and putting Tuna behind bars, giving Beth an opportunity to question him about Wallace’s murder.

With Wyatt and George temporarily skipping town, Beth takes the opportunity to look for more leads by breaking into Wyatt’s home. What she finds draws her closer to Toni, until she makes a sinister discovery.

Feeling less confident of Toni’s innocence after seeing her texts, Beth tracks down Toni’s old best friend to get some answers while Marco’s patience and support waivers.

As their lies and deceptions intensify, Beth and Toni confront each other during a revealing visitation, and lay everything on the table.

 

Episode 9: “Acts of Devotion”

Her vigor renewed, Beth finishes the story, giving Toni new hope. However, when no publication will run it, Beth turns to her mother for help and confronts multiple truths in the process.
