SHOWTIME SPORTS RELEASES SECOND CLIP FROM BASKETBALL COUNTY: IN THE WATER

Documentary Examining A Maryland County That Has Produced Elite Basketball Stars Premieres Friday, May 15

NEW YORK – May 13, 2020 – SHOWTIME Sports has released a second clip from its upcoming documentary BASKETBALL COUNTY: In The Water, premiering this Friday, May 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME®. The film, from executive producers Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman, offers an examination into Durant’s hometown of Prince George’s County, Md., and how it has recently produced more elite basketball players than anywhere else in the world.

The clip highlights Prince George’s County’s legendary DeMatha High School basketball program that rose to national prominence under the guidance of Hall of Fame head coach Morgan Wooten in the 1960’s and has carried on a tradition of excellence to the present day. The clip features soundbites from Wooten, plus DeMatha alumni James Brown of CBS Sports, and current NBA stars Quinn Cook, Jerami Grant and Victor Oladipo.
