THE CIRCUS: INSIDE THE CRAZIEST POLITICAL CAMPAIGN ON EARTH continues its fifth season this Sunday with an inside look at the 2020 Republican National Convention. 

Hosts John Heilemann, Alex Wagner and Mark McKinnon, along with guest contributor Jennifer Palmieri, convene in the nation’s capital as President Trump and his allies make a case for re-election amid an historic pandemic and mounting protests following the death of Jacob Blake, an African American man shot by Wisconsin police.

Episode interviews include:

  • White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, who speaks about her experience as Trump’s 2016 campaign manager, his 2020 strategy and racial unrest in America.
  • Rev. Al Sharpton, the founder of the National Action Network, who reflects on the shooting of Jacob Blake and previews a planned march against police brutality in Washington this week. 
  • Stephanie Grisham, the chief of staff to Melania Trump, who discusses the First Lady's keynote convention address from the White House Rose Garden. 
  • Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz and Matt Schlapp, the chairman of the American Conservative Union, who break down the GOP's convention messaging and the state of the 2020 race.
