DENNIS EULAU NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS FOR SIMON & SCHUSTER, INC.
NEW YORK, September 26 - Dennis Eulau has been promoted to the newly created position of Executive Vice President, Operations for Simon & Schuster, Inc. The announcement was made today by Carolyn Reidy, the CEO-designate of Simon & Schuster, to whom Mr. Eulau will report.
In his new role, Mr. Eulau will have full responsibility for all book production and supply chain operations, information systems and technology, and the business office management of the company's domestic publishing divisions.
"Dennis has an extraordinary ability to provide the business expertise and solutions that make it possible for our publishers to grow their business along with our authors' readership," said Carolyn Reidy. "By calling upon him to apply his considerable business acumen to a broader, company-wide canvas, we will bring together the key operations and business offices which support our publishers under a single management structure, and find the maximum benefit of an even closer, more integrated working relationship between these functions and our publishing divisions."

Mr. Eulau had previously served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the company's Adult Publishing Division. He first came to Simon & Schuster in 1995 as Business Manager for the company's Trade Division. Prior to joining S&S, Mr. Eulau held positions at Random House, Weight Watchers, and J. Walter Thompson. Mr. Eulau, 46, holds M.B.A. and B.A. degrees from Pace University. He lives on Long Island, NY with his three sons.
