Coach Marcus Turner in “All American: Homecoming”

In The CW’s new drama “All American: Homecoming,” Cory Hardrict stars as Coach Marcus Turner, who is tough, principled and committed to raising honorable young men first and championship athletes second. In order to rebuild the team before their funding runs out at the end of the semester, he’ll have to form an unlikely alliance with Damon Sims (Peyton Alex Smith) and battle the inner demons that led him to leaving the pros and the love of his life behind.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Hardrict immersed himself in the arts at a young age. Local film and television projects rose throughout his teens, as productions moved from L.A. to Chicago, allowing Hardrict to book regional print ads, commercials, and television movies. He began his professional acting career when he landed an open call for the Oprah Winfrey film “There Are No Children Here.” Hardrict loved every moment of the experience and knew that he needed to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.

He got his first big break when he landed a role in the film “Never Been Kissed.” From there, his career flourished, and he appeared in many films from drama to comedy, including “Crazy Beautiful,” award-winning feature the “Gran Torino” and “He’s Just Not That Into You” opposite Justin Long and Ginnifer Goodwin. In 2011, Hardrict co-starred as Cpl. Jason Lockett in the action film “Battle: Los Angeles.” He has also held supporting roles in numerous high-profile projects including “Lovelace,” “Warm Bodies” and “Transcendence” opposite Johnny Depp.

In 2015, Hardrict starred opposite Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller in the Oscar®-nominated film “American Sniper.”  Additionally, he was one of the leads in the hit independent film “Brotherly Love.”  In 2016, his movie “Destined” opened the L.A. Film Festival as the official selection. It won Best Feature and Best of Festival at UrbanWorld, Best Film at the International Black Film Festival of Nashville, and was the official selection at Chicago International Film Festival. In addition, Hardrict took home the award for Best Actor at the American Black Film Festival, Peachtree Village International Film Festival, and I.B.F.F. of Nashville. “Destined” hit theaters in the fall of 2017. He was a guest star on “S.W.A.T.,” and he recurs on the “The Chi” from Lena Waithe.

Hardrict currently lives in Los Angeles.
